Yesterday we caught up with children at Fitzmaurice Primary School in Bradford on Avon who have been part of our pilot. We spent a fabulous morning recording interviews there with Marie Lennon of BBC Radio Wiltshire for this Sunday’s ‘Wild about Wiltshire’ programme. Marie, who also works on Radio 4’s ‘Farming Today’ programme is interested in the British cut flower industry and our interview is part of a much bigger discussion about the current state of affairs.
Members of Fitzmaurice Primary School showed Marie round their cut flower garden and drafted her in to help plant a poppy meadow. Sara sowed some seeds with Year 6 who are setting up their own micro business growing and selling cut flowers.
